Terms of Service and End User Licence Agreement

Effective October 24, 2026. Last updated October 24, 2026.

These terms are an agreement between you and Arabel Ventures, a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"). They cover the Folduo Android app (package app.folduo), including Folduo Pro and any updates (together, "Folduo").

By installing or using Folduo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Folduo and uninstall it.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer that cannot be waived. Where a section says "to the extent the law allows", that is what it means.

1. Summary in plain words

2. Licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Folduo on Android devices that you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use, under these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

You may not:

We (and our licensors) keep all rights, title and ownership in Folduo, including its code, design, name and logo. "Folduo" is our trade name.

If these terms conflict with the Google Play Terms of Service about how you get the app from Google Play, the Google Play terms apply to that part. Google is not responsible for Folduo and is not a party to these terms.

3. Free and Pro

Free. The free version includes the pointer and its pads, the scroll pad with Back, Home and Recents, the two-thumb keyboard with emoji, the app picker, window focus switching, layouts with two apps side by side, and the built-in trainer. It has no time limit and needs no card.

Pro. Folduo Pro unlocks extra features, which currently are layouts with three or four apps, and saved profiles (a layout plus its apps, opened in one move). Pro also includes any Pro features we add later, as described in the app and on the Google Play listing.

4. Payments through Google Play

All purchases are handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment and its own terms apply to it, including the Google Play Terms of Service (https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/). We never see your card or payment details.

5. Refunds

  1. Within 48 hours of purchase: you can usually ask Google for a refund directly in Google Play. See Google's refund page: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637.
  2. After 48 hours: email us at folduo@arabel.ca with your Google Play order number (it starts with "GPA."). We review each request fairly and may refund through Google Play at our discretion, for example if Pro does not work on your device and we cannot fix it.
  3. Your legal rights: if the law where you live gives you a right to a refund or a cancellation period, that right applies in addition to this section.

If a purchase is refunded or reversed (for example a chargeback), Pro features are removed from that Google account.

6. The accessibility service and what Folduo does for you

Folduo uses Android's accessibility service to tap, long-press, scroll, move app windows, and go Back, Home or to Recents. It taps, long-presses and scrolls only when you press a Folduo control, and each press makes one action. It places apps side by side when you choose a layout. With a layout open, it also rearranges those apps by itself when you fold, unfold or rotate the phone, and it may end the layout or put the apps back when you go home, close those apps or open one of them full screen. After you press Back in a layout, it may reopen that pane's app. When the phone restarts or Folduo updates, it shows its pads again if they were on. How Folduo handles information while doing this is explained in the Privacy Policy: https://folduo.app/privacy/.

Because a Folduo press acts inside other apps just like your own finger would:

You can turn the accessibility service off at any time in Settings > Accessibility > Folduo.

7. Shizuku and other third-party apps

Some optional advanced features can use Shizuku, a separate app made by a third party, which gives apps extra system-level permission on your phone. Using Shizuku is optional and your choice. Shizuku is governed by its own terms, and we are not responsible for it. Commands that run with extra privileges carry more risk; use them only if you understand and accept that risk.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use Folduo to:

9. Device support and updates

Folduo is designed for foldable Android phones running Android 13 or later. We test it most on Google Pixel Fold phones. Some features may work differently, or only partly, on other foldables or on phones that do not fold.

Android, Google Play, phone makers and other apps change over time. A change outside our control may stop a feature from working. We may release updates to fix problems, add or change features, or follow Google Play policies, but we do not promise any particular update or support for any period. Some updates may be needed to keep using Folduo. Version numbers below 1.0 mean Folduo is still being developed.

10. Open-source components

Folduo includes open-source software, each under its own licence, including:

Component Licence
AndroidX libraries and Jetpack Compose (Google) Apache License 2.0
Kotlin and kotlinx.coroutines (JetBrains) Apache License 2.0
Shizuku API and provider (RikkaApps) MIT License
HiddenApiBypass (LSPosed) Apache License 2.0

The full licence texts are available on request at folduo@arabel.ca. Those licences, not these terms, govern your use of those components on their own. Folduo itself is not open source.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent the law allows, Folduo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that Folduo will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every app or device, or that it will meet your needs.

Some places, including some Canadian provinces such as Quebec, do not allow some warranties to be excluded. In those places, the exclusions above apply only as far as the law allows.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or where your local consumer law does not allow them.

13. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) from a claim by someone else caused by your breach of these terms or your misuse of Folduo. This does not apply to consumers where the law does not allow it.

14. Ending these terms

You can end these terms at any time by uninstalling Folduo.

We may end or suspend your licence if you seriously break these terms, for example by bypassing the Pro purchase check or redistributing the app. We may also stop offering Folduo, or remove it from Google Play. If we stop offering Folduo, we will try to tell users in advance through the app or the Google Play listing; a copy already installed may keep working, but we cannot promise it will keep working with future versions of Android.

When these terms end, you must stop using and uninstall Folduo. Sections 2 (ownership and restrictions), 11, 12, 13, 16 and 17 continue to apply.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law or Google Play's policies change. We will post the new version with a new "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or in the Google Play release notes before it takes effect. If you keep using Folduo after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, uninstall Folduo and, if the change is significant and you bought Pro recently, contact us.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Before starting any legal claim, please email us at folduo@arabel.ca so we can try to solve the problem informally within 30 days.

Any legal claim will be brought in the courts of Ontario, Canada, sitting in Toronto. However, if you are a consumer, you keep any right your local law gives you to bring a claim in the courts where you live and to rely on the mandatory consumer protection laws of that place.
